I've been researching the family of Joseph & Jemima (nee LLOYD) BAILEY, in particular their daughter Elizabeth but hit a problem.  Elizabeth married William Perry LLOYD at St Micheals Church, Madeley in 1872 but I can't find them on any subsequent census returns nor can I attribute deaths to either of them.  Anyone any ideas?

Terry,

You will find them in the 1881 census living at Mill Fields, Wellington.

They are recorded as William LLOYD age 35, born in Ketley and Lizzie LLOYD age 32, born in Madeley.

Terry,

You may already have discovered the following but, if not, I hope that it is helpful to you.

There is a death for an Elizabeth LLOYD, age 37, registered in quarter 1 of 1886 in Wellington.

In the 1891 census, living at 51 Nelson Street in Middlesbrough, there is recorded:

William LLOYD, age 46 - an Ironworker born in Rock, Shropshire

along with his wife, Mary A LLOYD, age 43 - born in Ketley, Shropshire

In the 1901 census, still living at 51 Nelson Street in Middlesbrough, there is recorded:

William LLOYD, age 56 - a Pig Iron (Coke Ovens) Labourer born in Oakingates, Shropshire

along with his wife, Mary A LLOYD, age 54 - born in Ketley, Shropshire

In the 1871 census Wiiliam’s occupation is a Labourer at Iron Works, on his marriage record in 1872 it is a Roller and in the 1881 census it is an Ironworker.

There is a death for a William LLOYD, age 58, registered in quarter 1 of 1903 in Middlesbrough.

Peter,

I hadn't had a chance to progress where or what William & Elizabeth were up to after your initial response to my query so the information you supplied is very welcome.
