I am looking for information on the HANMER Family from Cockshutt, my grandfather was Levi HANMER, born 1878, his father was Thomas HANMER born 1858, his grandfather Thomas born 1829, his great grandfather born about 1800, all in Cockshutt, I have the Cockshutt and Petton History Book.

Thank you   Brian Painter

There is someone called the WEBB family of Glasgow researching your tree on Ancestry. Are you a member, if not, maybe I can email them for you ? Angela

Hello Brian

If you go to 'Online Databases' (in the blue bar above) and select 'Monumental Inscription' then put Hanmer in the search box you will find there are numerous grave stones for the family at Cockshutt.

You can purchase a copy of the transcript from Shropshire FHS - go to Shop above then SFHS Publications Catalogue then click on the PDF document - the parishes are in alphabetical order.

Thank you, I have a family tree on Ancestry, and have seen the WEBB tree. I am trying to trace the HANMER Family in the 18th cent, I have Thomas born in about 1795-1801 and I am trying to trace his parents.

Thank you very much  Brian
