I'm trying to find out if Charles POSTON of Whitchurch, has/had a headstone.  He died in Whitchurch July 11, 1832.  He is listed in the Births, Marriages and Burials for Parish Church of Whitchurch, Shropshire.

Does this mean he (and his famiy) was a member of St Alkmund's and buried in the church yard?  If so, how do I find out where his grave is and if it has a headstone?  If not, where might he be buried?

I'd also like to find his wives' graves {Ann GREEN Poston and Mary YARDLEY Poston}.  They died before he did so assume they would be in the same cemetary.

I live on the West coast of the USA.  Thanks so much for your help ahead of time.

Holly

thanks for the link but I've already tried it,  didn't get very far.  Plus the link he suggests using isn't valid any more.

Hello Holly

The Rootschat page you reach from the link above is not dated but must be fairly old.

The link given in Keith Bateman's message originally took you to a list of Shropshire Monumental Inscription (MI) transcripts on the GENUKI web site.

GENUKI now just provide a link to the Shropshire FHS web site which is the host of this Message Forum.

To find the list of MIs go to 'Shop' on the right of the blue bar above then select the top option 'Shropshire FHS Publications Catalogue' which provides you with a link to 'SFHS_Publications.PDF' which lists all the Society publications, not just the MIs.  Parishes are in alphabetical order.
