James Glover was from a suburb of Liverpool. (Wode on the Hill?)

I was searching Liverpool parish registers for my Poole & Howard ancestors when I came across marriage record for Ann Poston & James Glover in Parish of Walton on the Hill, Liverpool dated 11th May 1808. The Ancestry index states it was Christ Church. It was a marriage by Licence and was witnessed by James Glover and Elizabeth Poston.

I presume you have the marriage details from the Family Search web site which gives the date as 11 May 1808.
Where did you get the place name 'Wode on the Hill' from because I can't find any reference to it on a map?
