Anyone know if Poor Relief records for Meole Brace for 1801-1803 exist please?
I've been told that my 4th gt gma, Martha RAMSELL (nee WHEELER) was on poor relief after her first husband died (Thomas RAMSELL) and before her second marriage (to James RAMSELL). I can't find any evidence or record of this.
Are Poor Relief records of any value in the info they contain??

If you go to the Shropshire Archives new web site and put Meole Brace in the search box it brings up information about the parish. Click on the 'Browse this Collection' tab and scroll down to Poor Law Administration then click the plus '+' signs to expand the entries.
It might be worth doing a different search for Poor Relief just in case that brings up anything different.
