I am looking for my cousin and wife who lived at Colwyn in 1997 but may have also lived in Clun Shropshire? Or was this a district name change?

Their names are Eric Alexander McAleese and Marjorie A. McAleese (nee Chetham) Marjorie may have died in 2004 and I wondered if they had any surviving children that I could contact for possible photos for our family tree Eric used to live in Manchester and Marjorie in Cheshire. Any information would be appreciated.email me at pat.knight@sky.com

Hello Pat

Eric A McALEESE was born 1920 and died 1997 in the Colwyn Reg. Dist. Denbighshire.

Marjorie A McALEESE (nee CHETHAM) was born 1921 and died 2004 in the Clun Reg. Dist. of Shropshire.

They married in 1973 in Cheshire. He was aged 53 and she 52 when they married. I can't find any children of that marriage and at those ages it is most unlikely they had any children.

I think you should obtain a copy of their marriage certificate to establish whether either of them had been married before and was a widow(er).  If so, you could then search for possible children from a previous marriage.

Please note: I have also tried to reply to your email address given above but it was rejected by your server.

Thanks Mike for such a helpful  and prompt reply, I did not realise Eric (my fathers nephew) was as old as that on his marriage as the last time my father saw him was in Berlin at the end of the war in 1945 and we thought he had died in the 60`s. Will certainly apply for certs now.

Cannot understand why my server rejected the email as most junk manages to get through to my junk box, unless it was having an off day!  I will have to give it a try and see what happens.

Many thanks,

Pat Knight
