I have a photograph dated about 1925 of my grandmother and both great grandmothers standing outside of, what the family knew as, Fox Holes. I have always been led to believe it was at Cleobury Mortimer but think it should be Farlow, also that the family owned the property. Can anyone shed any light on this? The grandparents we thought lived there (1920s) were Albert Edward Moore and Lavinia (nee Jordan). Thank you in advance and in anticipation
Thank you for your post. Lavinia was born 6/8/1868 in Wolverhampton, but think she came to Farlow as there seems to be a lot of Jordan's there. Her husband Albert was born 1867 in Finchfield, Staffordshire. I think she's the link to the property, but am struggling to find how, although I believe I found a James Jordan and wife Elizabeth there in 1871. And thank you for the heads up on how it's written, that might help me.
Hello
Do you know the date of birth of Edward & Lavinia because this would help to find them in the census if you haven't already found them? At the moment I haven't been able to spot them.
By the way, Foxholes is usually written as one word which might need to be considered when doing searches.
