Hi i wondered if anyone could help me. I am researching my family history and i have come upon a block of information. I cannot find any records of Isaac HUMPAGE born 1856 1752 (ish) wife Susannah BEARN, child Isaac born 1801... meant to be born in Shropshire ? any help would be appreciated
Hello again,
Again in FMP records: Just to let you know that Isaac HUMPAGE Jnr married Mary DOWE after Banns at St Alkmund's, Shrewsbury, Shropshire on 18th September 1822. Both Isaac and Mary were "Of this Parish" and were "Batchelor and Spinster". (Because of his "Batchelor" status we can be sure that this is Isaac Jnr's marriage)
This time the original Marriage Entry image is available on FMP, as well as the Transcription, but sadly neither give further details such as Isaac's occupation or Mary's parent's names .
Cheers, Helen
Hello Tina
Images of original Shropshire registers of baptisms, marriages and burials are available on Find my Past up to 1900 (fee payable).
The image of the entry found by Helen is actually for St Chad's Church in Shrewsbury and gives the additional information that the family lived in Frankwell (suburb just over the Welsh Bridge).
Is there any chance that Isaac re-married? I ask because there are six children of Isaac and Mary baptised in Shrewsbury between 1825 and 1842. Of course this might be a different family.
Mike
Good afternoon, thanks for the replies, i will check out your replies against what I've got It IS a difficult family to trace...
Good evening, Thank you so much for your replies however It is Isaac senior I need information for, I cannot find his birth place or parents, I am a member of Ancestry, but have no information at all from there. Any help with this would be appreciated.
Hello, I'm afraid that your dates appear to be wrong. In Findmypast Marriages:
CHILDREN:
(The Baptismal Register records both Isaac's Date of Birth and his Baptismal date in this one entry in the Register. There are no exra "notes" on the Transcription to explain any reason for this lapse of 11 years before his Baptism took place.)
Hope this helps - Cheers, Helen
