Hello Marjorie

Perhaps the first thing you should consider is the possible financial position of the family when they lose a member at such a young age.  Could they afford to have the body brought back to Shropshire for burial or might the funeral and burial have taken place near the hospital?

Even if they arranged for the funeral and burial near her home not many people could afford to have a grave stone put on the grave so it is not unusual that you can't find a stone.

There are two possible ways you might locate the grave site:-

1.    Try searching local newspapers for a report of her death and possibly a second report of her funeral.  You have the exact date of death (the 30 Oct 1936 was a Friday) so you will only need to search the following week and possibly one more.

2.    Search local Burial Registers, starting with Woore and then moving outwards, perhaps trying Aston Chapel, Woore then Norton in Hales although I can't think why she would not be buried in her local churchyard unless she was buried near the Hospital in which case you need to check the burial register there.

Hi Mike
Thank you for your reply, I live in Scotland and don't know the area or what local newspaper would be involved but I will try and find out . We did think there may not be a headstone or maybe there was no inscription left on it but there is no trace of her on any burial records in Shropshire.
I will check the burial register near the hospital.
Regards and thank you
Marjorie
