Hi, I am trying to find a grave belonging to my ancestors.  I have the burial place (Quatt) which I received from Shropshire Archives, but not sure of the Churchyard, but I think it is St Andrews

The following names are: Thomas FAZEY buried: 11/10/1900 (number on burial page is 628 (not sure if that is the grave number)

Priscilla FAZEY buried: 2/9/1901 (number on burial page is 6360)

Both burials were performed by H B Wolryche-Whitmore

Many Thanks

Jane

Hi Jane,
Unfortunately it seems there isn’t a memorial headstone for either burial at St. Andrews, Quatt.
All the monumental inscriptions found in 1992 were recorded for this Society.
No FAZEY or similar spelling, were recorded.

If you establish a link with the FAIZEY family of Astley Abbotts and West Bromwich, please contact me. I’ve recently voluntarily researched that branch for a descendant.

Hi Gwynne, thank you for replying so soon.  Yes the Fazey/Faisey/Phasey family lived in Astley Abbots in 1891. 1901 they were living at Lodge Farm Cottages in Quatt (Dudmaston Hall) This is where Thomas and Priscilla died. (Thomas was the son of Priscilla, I think they were buried together) Thomas died in 1900, and Priscilla died in 1901.

I hope this helps Gwynne, I don't think they would be a headstone for Thomas and Priscilla, could be an unmarked grave, but they were buried at Quatt.

Best regards Gwynne
