Hello Greta

If no-one is able to help you then you can probably look this up yourself at a Family Search Centre (LDS) reasonably near you. There is no charge but donations are welcome.

See centre locations in the UK here.  Many have restricted opening hours so do check their web site beforehand and possibly ring your closest centre to make sure they can help you.

Boyd's marriage index is available in book form but due to copyright restrictions it cannot be viewed online - see here but it should be possible to view it at your local Family Search Centre.

Thank you, Mike, I had forgotten about LDS, so many years since I visited them. If no replies I will try to get there.

Hello Gwynne, thank you so much for your helpful reply and for the trouble that you took in looking up.

Briefly I have been searching for so many years for my 5 Gt/Gf Edward Green and this does look to be a possible contender. The only problem now is that the writer only mentions Joseph, I have found 6 children baptised including Edward so now I can hopefully consult the burial registers and hope that Edward is not mentioned.

Thank you once again Gwynne, much appreciated.
