Hello,

Trying to find out about my great great grandfather, does anyone have any info about the Weale family? Or where he would be buried perhaps?

Hello

You need to help us by providing more information about Albert like
Date and Place of Birth / Baptism
Date and Place of Death

Have you found him on one or more census?

Mike

Hi,

Mike is quite correct in requesting further information so that we don’t research the wrong family but meanwhile I’ll take a guess as to the family.

Was ‘your’ Albert Edward WEALE born on the 12th May 1888 in Alveley, the son of William J WEALE and Clara?

If so, the family are easily found on several census and other records.

By the 1921 census, Albert was married to Fanny and they had at least two children, Albert William (buried 1974) and Arthur Stanley.

By 1939, Albert and Fanny were living at No.22 St. Leonard’s Close, Bridgnorth.

Burials;

Albert Edward WEALE, a retired Foreman Bricklayer, age 67 from Holmlea. Innage Lane, Bridgnorth was buried on the 9th Jan 1956. Grave No.2247 Consecrated in Bridgnorth Municipal Cemetery.

Fanny WEALE, Housewife, age 67 from Holmlea. Innage Lane, Bridgnorth was buried on the 25th May 1954. Grave No.2247 Consecrated in Bridgnorth Municipal Cemetery.

If it ever stops raining, I could go and photograph a memorial headstone if there is one.

Hope it’s the right family!

Hi Jack,

Sorry for the delay in taking the photographs today. We had unexpected visitors all day.

I’ll aim to photograph any memorial headstone on Monday of:

1) Albert Edward and Fanny.

2) Albert William and Christina Joan.

3) Helen.

Regards,

Gwynne

Hi Jack,

Details of Helen’s burial;

Helen WEALE, a widow, age 74 from No.22 Moat Street, Bridgnorth was buried on the 3rd April 1964. Grave No.3364 Consecrated, in Bridgnorth Municipal Cemetery.

Unfortunately there is no memorial headstone at the grave location of either Albert Edward / Fanny or Helen WEALE.

If you want to email me direct (Webmaster to instigate please) I could try to explain the precise locations or we could meet at the cemetery.
