Tracing family and a photo!
My father-in-law was born illegitimate in Grimsby in 1920 and raised by his mother before moving away His name was Robert Royce Jackson He met his father..John Royce Barker. . a few times when very young. John died in 1936.and had a brother ,William. The brothers were close friends. William himself had two sons.. the elder was William Royce Barker, who married first in 1945 and then again in Ludlow in 1952 to Florence M, Alderson from Atcham.
William Royce Barker died in 1901. The death certicate gives an address of 17 Downton View, Ludlow with an occupation of retired company secretary. The informant was (Irene) Joyce Prodger. The property was sold soon after.
My wife, herself 75. is desperate to see a photo of her grandfather (who would have been WRB's full cousin.)or other family members.I appreciate it is a long shot but if anyone has any info. or ideas how i can progress this please let me know. I have exhausted all the usual on line searches and attempts to reach out to other Barkers.
