HILL Family of White Mere Castle
Greetings,
I live in The State of Tennessee in the U.S. and am trying to establish a connection with several generations of the Hill family in Shropshire that supposedly emigrated to The Virginia Colony at Jamestown and a later ancestor that was supposedly born in 1608 in Shropshire and sailed in Lord Baltimore’s expedition on The Ark & The Dove to found the Maryland Colony in 1633. The first Hill to have emigrated was Sir Knight George Hill of Court of Hill &Blore who was born in 1545 in Ellesmere Rural, Shropshire and died in 1610 At Jamestown, Virginia. Other Hill family members that supposedly emigrated to Jamestown Colony were COL Sir Knight Richard Robert Hill I who was born in 1570 in Shropshire and died in 1631 in Hampton City, Virginia. His son CAP Sir Knight Richard Edward Hill II was born in 1590 in Shropshire and died in 1664 in Hampton City, Virginia.
If anyone there can corroborate any of the above information which I found on the genealogical website Find A Grave in church or civil records there in Shropshire, I would be so grateful.
