BANKS / ONIONS Families – Ronald Ernest Banks, Peter Banks and Missing Family History Collections
Hello everyone,
I'm researching my Banks and Onions family connections from Australia and hoping someone may be able to assist.
My great-uncle Raymond Onions married Dorothy Banks in 1941.
I've discovered an extensive family history compiled by Ronald Ernest Banks (1916–2003), which was reportedly continued by his son Peter Banks.
Ronald's research refers to two particularly interesting collections:
A red binder containing historical family photographs.
A blue binder containing correspondence, family history research and biographical information.
I'm trying to establish whether these collections have survived and, if so, whether they remain with family members or have been deposited with an archive or family history society.
I would also be very interested to connect with anyone researching the BANKS or ONIONS families associated with Shropshire and the surrounding areas.
I'm not requesting anyone's private contact information, but I'd be grateful if this enquiry could be passed to anyone with a relevant family connection or knowledge of these materials.
I'm currently building a family history archive for my children and future generations and would be delighted to exchange research.
Many thanks,
Jemma
