For those of you who have ancestors over the border, you may be interested to know that www.findmypast.co.uk has just uploaded a lot of Parish Registers for Montgomeryshire and Radnorshire, and other Welsh counties. You can search the indexes for free (will give you name, place and year of baptism/marriage/burial), but to view the transcribed index or in many cases an image of the original register you'll need to subscribe. Post-1837 marriage records are images of the actual marriage certificate. The quality of the images is variable, particularly for early Registers, and dependent upon quality of the original, but generally easy to read. I'm not sure how complete the coverage is, but have found some records that are new to me and not in IGI, but also I couldn't find others that appear in other places (e.g. previuosly published registers for Beguildy). Overall impression is good, a useful addition, but more expense !!
