Membership Procedure

Two Step Process

There are two separate membership options available to users. The first is simply to be a "Site Member". Site members have access to the public areas of the site plus they can post to the forum, which requires login credentials. To establish a site membership, we simply require an email and a password to be set up.

The second, premium membership option requires a small payment to us, and you then become a Full Subscriber to the Shropshire Family History Society. This option gives you access to additional Full Member content on the site and entitles you all the benefits of full membership.

In order to become a Full Subscriber, you must first join the site. Using the Join Site button below. Once you have registered to become a site member, and are a logged in, the "Step 2" block below will also be revealed fully.

Yes, I would like the Shropshire Family History Society to claim Gift Aid on all donations I have made in the last four years and any future donations I make. I confirm I am a UK tax payer, I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give or have given to SHFS in the last four tax years.

Step 2 - Becoming a Full Subscriber

Add a Family Member

Each individual membership is entitled to name an additional family member with the same mailing address as the primary member. Please check this box, if you want to add a family member and complete the additional fields with their details. They will then receive an email to enable web site access.

I am OK with you emailing me occasionally with newsletters and the like. Please note that this box must be checked to become a subscriber, as we'll be emailing you your journal each quarter.
