For the third year running Wellington Library is set to host a Community History Day to celebrate all that is great about all kinds of history.
Community History Day itself is being held on Saturday 1 March at Wellington Library to coincide with Wellington Town Charter Day celebrations so it’s set to be a busy day for the borough town.
On the day anyone visiting the library between 10am – 2pm will be able to chat with a variety of local and family history groups from the Wrekin Local Studies Forum about the history of the area.
Shropshire Family History Society will be having a presence this year for all 3 days at this, probably, largest Family History event in the UK. We will be there with all our CDs, a selection of local interest books & maps, our computer databases and a team of volunteers all on Stand 34 in the S.O.G section.
