Subject - "William Hazledine – rediscovering a forgotten genius"
Speaker - Doctor Andrew Pattison

William Hazledine (1763-1840) was a pioneering ironmaster who provided the ironwork for iconic and cutting-edge structures of his day, such as Ditherington Flax Mill and Menai suspension bridge. His personal story, however, had been largely lost. This talk traces the journey that the speaker took in rediscovering this genius.
