My Husband's Grandfather William Davies born in Wellington show records different ages from Census Returns, ie 29, 41 and 53.  He died 12 March 1932 at 75 years, according to death certificate.  I have applied for birth certificates September 1856, June 1856 and June 1857.  All money has been returned.  On the Census he has a wife Annie, nee Lloyd but another Family Tree Member and myself can find no marriage certificate so cannot arrive at the correct Annie Lloyd.  Annie was born in London on two census returns, Wellington on one census return.  There are a lot of William Davies and Annie Lloyd's about.  Their first child was born in 1883 in Walsall, all other children born in Wellington

Can I have guidance please?

Hello, have you checked out the following marriage record for a William Davis (no "e") marrying in the Aston registration district in the December quarter of 1880?

Aston itself is about 7 miles from Walsall.

This record shows William Davis possibly marrying a woman called Ann Elizabeth Lloyd.

Hope this is useful and fingers crossed!

Jason

Thank you Jason.  William's Granddaughter was named Annie Elizabeth, my Husband's Mother.  So it seems to fit.  Unfortunately we shall never know why they were in Walsall as all family history apart from Annie Lloyd is in Shropshire.  I will certainly buy the certificate, though no doubt there may not be any family names due to location.

Many thanks, Jean

Hi Jean, glad to help, let me know if it was the correct certificate! All the best, Jason.
