I have been asked if I knew of a place called warstone local to Wellington not Wolverhampton. Not heard of it.
Warstone was located in the area round the junction of Park Street and King Street on the northern edge of Wellington. Unfortunately it is not named on the 1881 or 1902 large scale maps of the town. On the 1851 census Warstone consisted of ten houses which are bracketed with Park Street. Park Street itself is seen both before and after Warstone. In 1871 those houses were recorded as Hoarstone.

Foxall's Gazetteer doesn't mention anywhere like that.
