Hi

I'm currently researching my family that lived in Astley Abbots in Bridgnorth and I know that some of the Faizey's are buried in St Calixtus church in Astley Abbots. My grandmother was Dora Minnie FAIZEY married name ALLMARK.

Regards

Kim

Hi Kim,

In 2013 I volunteered to trace the FAIZEY family of Astley Abbotts for a lady (Mrs O nee FAIZEY)
Your grandmother Dora is shown on the tree I produced that goes back to your great, great, great, great, great grandfather born c.1770.
Your grandmother would be a cousin to Mrs O.

I photographed and transcribed the Monumental Inscriptions and photographed the cottage the family lived in. Also checked the Electoral Registers  1874 - 1967.
I have copies of the FAIZEY Army Pension records, Ship passenger lists and Probate records, etc.

You are welcome to everything I have although I don't wish to deprive you of the fun of tracing your ancestors yourself.

Hi Gwynne,

That would be fantastic, if you don't mind, I have started building the family tree but it's not complete yet.  It would be lovely to see what information you have on the Faizey family until I started looking into it I hadn't realised that there were so many of them living in and around Bridgnorth.  I know that my great grandfathers family moved to West Bromwich and my grandmother was raised in West Bromwich. I have found it really interesting and quite addictive trying to find out information on the family with such an uncommon surname, not sure where it originated from.

If you would like to forward the information my email address is millthorpe_12@yahoo.co.uk and once again thank you.

Best wishes

Kim Heaton
