Can anyone please tell me if the properties known as 'The Rookery' in Wellington still exist.

Hello Bob

Can you tell us more precisely where your Rookery was supposed to be?  It would also help if you could tell us where you obtained the information and the date it existed.  There appear to be two or three possible locations if they fit with your information.

Hi Mike, Thank you for your reply Mike, the family I am researching are the JARVIS's, I found them in the 1871, 1881, and 1891, the address was sometimes Watling Street, civil parish Wellington, other times Watling St, 'The Rookery' Wellington. Look forward to your thoughts on where it might be.

Hello Bob

I am finding several JARVIS households.  Which is your family - father, mother & children with birth years?

Hi Mike,

Yes Mike, I was surprised to find four Jarvis families living next to each other in ' The Rookery', I am hoping someone can tell me where the 'Rookery' is/was. Many thanks for your effort Mike.

Hi, my Great Grandmother was Sarah Jane Jarvis. Her Mother was Rose Jarvis born 1872. They lived at The Rookery, Watling Street. Rose's Father was Moses Jarvis born at Wrockwardine, Moses's Father was Enoch Jarvis born 1820 at Wombridge, Enoch's Father was Aaron Jarvis born 1789 in Wellington.
