Good day all. I have traced my family back to: Samuel PERKIN. B. 1780 Shropshire UK D. 13 Jan 1845 Clun, Shropshire UK. He was married to Sarah ROGERS B. 20 Nov 1796 D. 15 Feb 1872. Married 8 Jun 1818 Worthen Shopshire.
From here I hit the proverbial brick wall. If anyone had any info on the parents of Samuel PERKIN, that would be great. Many thanks
Thank you sir
I have a Samuel PERKIN down as died 18 Jan 1845. However I have his wife as Sarah ANDREWS and I can't find any marriage of Samuel PERKIN & Sarah ROGERS.
However HO107/ 909/5 for 1841 census has David ROGERS, aged 75-79, as living with Samuel & Sarah PERKIN. He seems to have died in 1851 and the National Library of Wales has an administration for him in 1852.

Hello Hat
Using the Shropshire Parish Registers on the Find my Past web site (fee payable) to check the marriages in Worthen parish the marriage originally quoted by Frank does appear in the register on the 8 June 1818. Samuel PERKIN signed and Sarah ROGERS made her mark.
With regard to your marriage between Samuel PERKIN and Sarah ANDREWS this took place at Wentnor on 4 Feb 1805. Both made their marks.
It appears that the Worthen baptisms are on Family Search but not the marriages and this probably explains why you didn't find the marriage to Sarah ROGERS. I suppose this is one of those traps which we can all too easily fall into.

Hello Frank
Shropshire Parish Registers of Baptisms, Marriages and Burials up to 1900 are available on the Find my Past (subscription) web site. Put Shropshire in the search box to see available records.
The Shropshire Baptisms list two possible entries for your Samuel PERKIN(S) both baptised in 1781, one at Wentnor and one at Stapleton but with Samuel having died before the 1851 census it is going to be difficult to establish which one is yours. Make sure there isn't an infant death/burial for one of them and try to find marriages for both and hopefully this should give you an idea which is the correct one.
Note that both entries I found have the surname recorded as PERKINS with an 'S' and you should always search for the two spellings, with and without the 's'.
