JOHN KYNASTON born Wem 1772. Schoolmaster. His wife was MARY (given on his children's baptism records).  Three Children, John b. 1800 (became Revd John Kynaston), Mary b. 1802 and Anne b. 1811. Can anyone help me find his marriage to Mary so i can find her maiden name?  Also interested in any other info on the Wem KYNASTON branch.  JOHN KYNASTON, b. 1722 was son of JOHN KYNASTON and MARY CHURTON (STONES)

Hi Heather,

Not sure if this is connected to your family.

I have a Mary KYNASTON b. c. 1809 Wem m 19/3/1834 to George Benjamin FRANKLIN, a g'dau married a first cousin of a maternal g'dad.

I'd be happy to provide what little info I have but it's not a lot as the connection is peripheral to my main family BORASTON.

Regards,

Malcolm.

Hello Malcom

I think the Mary KYNASTON you have mentioned b c1809 is the same Mary as mine born in 1802 (she died in 1882 aged 80). 'My' Mary Kynaston married a George Benjamin FRANKLIN.  I would be interested in any info you have about the family and particulary finding the marriage of Mary's parents John KYNASTON (b. 1772) schoolmaster of Wem and Mary???

Thank you, Heather

Hi Heather,

I have no connections to your KYNASTONs but live near Wem. Had a quick look on Findmypast (subscription site for which I currently have no sub) and found an entry for a marriage of a John KINASTON to a Mary in 1797 in St Alkmunds, Shrewsbury. Can not get more details without taking out a subscription. I suggest you try Familysearch.org which is free, failing that you`ll need a sub to FMP.

hope this is some help.

Jackie

Hello Jackie

I think you are correct. I dont know how I missed this entry?  The dates and names are a good fit and there are no obvious altenatives.  I do subscribe to Find My Past and now have the details.  Thank you for your help.
