Hi, I'm researching the HUBBLE surname, I do already have a lot of information but I remember my father saying there were Quakers in the family.  Does anyone know where I can get more information concerning BMD of Quakers in Shropshire.

Hello

You haven't told us what time period you are trying to research.

From 1837 onwards Quaker BMD's will appear with all other BMD's in the Civil Records of England and Wales.

The Quakers held meetings in 1650 of 'The Friends' as they were called.  Quakers did not believe in baptism of children but they did record births.  Their records often contain the names of almost all those present at marriages.

Before handing their registers to the Register General in 1840 the Quakers indexed all their entries amounting to over 500,000.  This index is available at various locations in the UK.
