Can anyone tell me if Shropshire Archives hold the records for St Lukes Church Doseley please?

Thank you

Sue

Hello Sue

Doseley is an interesting one because none of the reference sources I would use to answer your question even give it a mention. Historically it was part of Dawley parish and that is where you need to look for references. The Shropshire Archives page here will give you a link to their list of holdings for Dawley and elsewhere - it is near the bottom of the page.

I do have a note that St Lukes, Doseley graveyard and vicarage show on old 6 inch OS maps but nothing else.

Thank you for that Mike

I know that it is now converted to a dwelling.  Not sure when this happened.  Possibly 1980's.  But I could not see the registers  mentioned on the Archives list.

Hi Sue,

The archives do have the parish registers for St Lukes.  I've recently used them for births, marriages & deaths.
