Anyone that lives in the West Midlands may be interested in coach trips to The National Archives in Kew, London, organised four times a year by the BMSGH (The Birmingham and Midland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry)
Membership of that society is not required to travel.

Forthcoming trips for 2016 are on the 14th May, 1st October and the 12th November.
For 2016 the cost is £21. per person.
Seats are offered on a first come, first served basis on a coach, not a mini bus.
1st pick up point is at 07:10 a.m. at the bus stop outside Chiquitos Mexican restaurant at Quinton. That is the junction of the Wolverhampton Road A4123 and the Hagley Road A456.
2nd pick up point is at 07:30 a.m. in Birmingham City Centre.
Arrival at The National Archives, Kew is approx. 10:15 a.m.
Leaving Kew at 5:00 p.m. the return to Birmingham is approx. 8:00 p.m.
A short comfort stop at a motorway service centre is made at the half way point.

Passengers aren't obliged to visit The National Archives. They could visit Kew Gardens, Kew Steam Museum, the Mechanical Music Museum, galleries and antique shops, stroll along the Thames or just use the coach for a day out.
Anyone intending to visit The National Archives are recommended to apply for a Reader's Ticket in advance, to save time when they arrive.
