I've hit a bit of a brick wall relating to my great grandfathers sister, Ann Lloyd.  She was born in the Ketley Bank area and had an illegitimate daughter in 1880.  The daughter was brought up by her grandfather as his own and contact with the descendants of the illegitimate daughter provide information that Ann went to America in 1880.

They also say that Ann returned to England in the 20th Century, to stay or visit is unclear and have no evidence if she married.

Would anyone have any ideas how or if it is possible to track Ann in America after 1880?

Hi Terry, Have you a DOB for Ann, presumably at Ketley Bank. What were her parents names and also the name of her daughter. This should help us to help you. Hazel

As Havern said. Provide those details and I can track her to America and back quite easily.

Thank you both for the response.

Ann Lloyd was born on 17 December 1858 in Ketley Bank, Wellington.  Her parents were Robert, occupation Pig Dealer and Caroline Lloyd (nee Ford).

Her daughters name was Margaret.  She went on to marry to Arch Morgans in Birmingham and died in the 1960's.  It is descendents off Margaret who tell me she left for for America in 1880.
